Building Lifelong Resilience with Dr. Sherry Hamby & Brittney Lynn
On today’s episode we have author Dr. Sherry Hamby who is a clinical psychologist and resilience researcher.
We discuss her new book, “Stronger Than You Think: Building Lifelong Resilience.” Drawing from both her academic expertise and personal journey growing up in a challenging household, Dr. Hamby shares insights on how resilience isn’t a fixed trait, but a skillset anyone can develop, especially with the right support and environment.
We discuss why community and connection are essential to healing, how your physical environment—including your sleep space—shapes recovery from stress and trauma, and how to custom-build your own “resilience portfolio.”
Whether you’re facing a tough season or simply seeking a calmer life, this episode offers hope, practical strategies, and inspiration to thrive, no matter your circumstances.
