Mattress Shopping 101

Mattress Shopping 101

When was the last time you bought a new mattress? If it’s been more than seven years, it’s time to start shopping… Let’s explore how to make your mattress shopping experience a positive one so you can sleep smarter.

And remember – enjoy the process! After all, it’s shopping.

Set Your Budget

Investing in a new mattress is investing in your health and well-being.  As with any significant purchase, quality often reflects cost. Forbes reports that mattress prices typically range from $300 to $3,000, with an average price of $1,300 to $2,000.

Uncover Your Needs

Choosing the right mattress starts with understanding your needs. If you’re like many adults, you probably share a bed with a partner or pet. A recent study found that four in 10 adults sleep with a partner, and two in 10 adults sleep with a pet. Be sure to include your companions in this discussion as necessary.

Comfort is a top priority when it comes to picking a mattress. In fact, 72% of U.S. adults in our study said it’s the most important factor. But don’t let comfort be your only guide. Here are a few more tips to help you shop with confidence:

Your Space

Before upgrading your mattress size or buying a bed for a new space, measure your room first. The bed should fit comfortably within the space. Also, consider the number of sleepers, including pets. For instance, if you need a bed for two adults and a medium-sized dog, a queen might work, but a king or California king would provide extra room for everyone..

Your Sleep Position

Do you sleep on your back, side, stomach, or a crazy combination? What about your partner? This can influence what mattress you consider.

Your Type

If it’s been a few years since you last shopped for a mattress, you’re in for a treat. Today’s mattresses are more innovative than ever, with cutting-edge technologies and materials that transform sleep into an experience. With so many exciting options, finding the perfect mattress isn’t just a purchase—it’s an upgrade to your lifestyle. Let’s dive into what’s new and discover the ideal fit for you!
